Health Care Associates Transport (HCAT) provides wheelchair and ambulatory transport for medical as well as social events.
Wheelchair Ramp: yes (350 lb weight limit)
Days and Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5pm. With notice, we can check on driver availability for transports outside these times.
Geographical Area Served: No limits
Fees/Fares: Kent County – $75 round-trip plus $3 per loaded mile. $55 one-way plus $3.50 per loaded mile. For all areas outside Kent County (including Ottawa), a quote can be provided over the phone or through email.
Who We Serve: Seniors, Medical, Persons with Disabilities, General Public
How Much Notice is Necessary: A week’s notice is preferred. Less than a week is possible based on driver availability.
Eligibility: No restrictions; however, transport is not covered by Medicare, health insurance or auto insurance.
Proof of Eligibility: Medicaid only if in skilled nursing facility. Facility must provide confirmation that they are covering the cost of transport.
